Building stairs from the Matthei Timber range of dressed and fabricated stairs is the obvious and easy task – Pacific Crows Ash is one of our premium stair materials that adds style to any construction project.  Delivering you both stair treads and risers (where needed), our hardwood will take the wear and the punishment of daily use for many years. Available in both structural grades F34 and F27, our durable, kiln-dried timbers are ready for your construction project and because of their low tannin content, they are also non-bleed hardwood timbers. To put it simple, our stair materials just make sense – both hard wearing and stylish.  Matthei Timbers stair sizings are –  Treads – 240mm × 35mm, 240mm × 45mm, 290mm × 35mm and 290mm × 45mm; Risers –  200mm × 25mm and 190mm × 19mm ready and milled for your construction and design needs.

Pacific Crows Ash has narrow whitish sapwood and red-brown heartwood. Timber is hard and tough, turns and carves easily and has excellent weathering characteristics.
