Other species available in volume are White Mahogany, Ipe, Masha Teak, Almendrillo, Bacu, Cigar Box Cedar, Konoko, Yellow Box, Oiticica, Nargusta, Red Cedar, and Virola.
We also use our timber to provide you with finished products including; decking, mouldings, flooring, skirting, architraves and dressed products.

E&J Matthei Logging and Milling Operators were established in 1981 with the commencement of logging operations. Two years later a mill was established in order to process the logs. A factory in Lima was opened in 2000 to add value to the timber as a semi-finished product. In 2005 the Kiln Drying Ovens were added and, finally, the machines required to produce finished products were added in 2008. The most recent development for the company has been the establishment of the Matthei Timbers sales office in Yatala, Brisbane.

E &J Matthei Logging and Milling Operators is committed to producing quality products under Australia & New Zealand standards since 1999. All of our timbers have been tested and the specifications for each species is based on data sourced from the CSIRO/DPI, Gradings, Durability, Joint Group, Strength and uses is in compliance with AS 2082.
Matthei Timbers stock a wide range of species that have many uses across industries. Our product range includes Pacific Jarrah, Southern Spotted, Pacific Crows Ash, White Mahogany and Ipe. Matthei Timbers can produce unique sizes and profiles to meet individual requirements.
E&J Matthei Logging and Milling Operators has recently added a Kiln Drying Facility to its factory and approximately 1500m3 is being processed monthly through its kilns. The balance of our production is green. In addition to drying, the company is now able to offer finished products that include: decking, mouldings, flooring, skirting, architraves and dressed products.

The company is against wide scale conversion of forest and seeks to ensure long term protection of the natural environment. It is for this reason that the company has chosen to become FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) Certified. FSC® is a global certification standard that promotes environmentally viable management of the world's forest.
